Before diving into the user interface, we strongly recommend familiarizing yourself with the Single Banknote document to understand the various fields available. If you haven’t done so already, please review that document first.
Key Sections of the Interface:
Purple Section: Unique Value Fields
- This section contains fields with a unique value per banknote.
- In the top right corner, you can select a year range to narrow your search.
- Note: There are some nuances to using the date range. For details, please refer to the “Searching for Banknotes” document.

Green Section: Security Feature Fields
- This area contains the 11 fields related to security features.

Additional Features:
- Excel Download: Every search result can be downloaded as an Excel sheet by clicking the relevant button. More information here.
- Reset All Filters: Use this button to start a new search without resetting each filter individually.
Result Section:
- Located below the filtering section.
- Displays the number of banknotes currently matching your query.
- By default, it shows all banknotes in DataVault. Results are grouped by Region, Country, and then by matching denominations.
- Click on the button to access the single banknote page.

Naming Convention:
- Format: Currency Code Denomination – First Year Issued
- Example: AOA 1000 – 2020 (Angolan Kwanza, 1000 denomination, issued in 2020)
- Note: Our database is regularly updated and includes historical data for some currencies.
By understanding these interface elements, you’ll be able to navigate DataVault more efficiently and perform more effective searches.

- Use a full-screen display on a desktop or laptop.
- If using a tablet, it should be: • Of the latest generation • In landscape orientation
