PUREIMAGE™ is a next-generation holographic security thread and patch for paper banknotes, available across a range of denominations from lower to higher values. It uses advanced digital origination techniques to produce uniquely bright, high-resolution holographic effects with dynamic movement and pulsing visible at any angle — including at thread widths as narrow as 2mm.
The effects are generated using bespoke imaging equipment programmed with advanced code, producing three categories of motion: pulsing, intuitive movement (elements moving in one direction), and counterintuitive movement (elements moving in opposing directions simultaneously). Five distinct holographic effect variants are available — Blaze, Climb, Orb, Slide, and Switch — each offering a different visual signature that can be customised with characters, numerals, icons, or thematic imagery to match the banknote design.
PUREIMAGE™ is well-suited for deployment across an entire banknote series, with increasing thread widths assigned to higher denominations and bespoke motifs making each denomination visually distinct. Its hard-wearing construction makes it particularly suitable for high-circulation denominations. The feature can also be combined with Kinetic STARCHROME® threads within a series to maintain a common thematic style while differentiating denominations.
Security is reinforced by diffractive microstructures that create a high threshold against simulation, and optional enhancements include ClearText®, multi-colour fluorescence, and MagForm™ machine readability (available on threads wider than 3.1mm).
PUREIMAGE™ is also available as a holographic patch and stripe, sharing visual synergy with the embedded thread to aid public recognition across the note.
