Anima™

Anima™ is a lenticular micro-optical windowed security thread for paper banknotes, designed to deliver instant public recognition through vivid, dynamic effects that are verifiable within seconds without any detection equipment. The thread combines integrated lenticular micro-lenses with state-of-the-art high-resolution printing to produce crisp, clean imagery in natural colours with a range of configurable motion effects.

The optical effects platform supports eight distinct effect types — static images, microtext, rolling bars, rolling rows, image switch, grow, rotation, and animate — some of which can be combined within a single thread to create a more complex and unique visual signature. All imagery is fully customisable, with foreground and background effects independently designed, allowing central banks to build denomination-specific narrative designs that integrate coherently with the overall banknote theme.

The integration of the optical elements directly into the thread structure eliminates thread soiling issues and allows the banknote to be varnished without degrading the effect. The complexity of the lenticular micro-optical production process makes the thread extremely difficult to counterfeit or simulate.

Anima™ is positioned as a high-security yet highly accessible level 1 feature — the target authentication time is one second, unaided, making it suitable as a primary public-facing security feature across a denomination series.
