Simultouch is a named tactile security feature used on euro-specification banknotes, applied alongside other features including watermarks, security threads, and holograms. It is the designated tactile denomination feature used in the euro banknote production ecosystem, produced at ECB-accredited printing works — primarily those operating in France — and constitutes the raised tactile marks included on all denominations of the Europa series to assist visually impaired users in identifying denominations.

The feature consists of denomination-specific patterns of short raised lines or marks positioned at consistent locations on the note, achievable by touch during normal handling. These tactile marks appear on all denominations of the Europa series and vary by denomination to allow a complete set of tactile codes to be learned and used independently. The marks are produced through a printing or embossing process integrated into the standard banknote production workflow, and the feature name Simultouch is associated specifically with the euro production context and the French security printing environment rather than with the broader industry.

While Simultouch shares the same accessibility objective as other tactile features across the global banknote industry, its use as a named brand is largely confined to ECB-related production. Outside that context, equivalent features are referred to under different names — such as Tactile Emboss (De La Rue), Blind Recognition (De La Rue, paper), or the generic embossed tactile feature used in Australian and Pacific polymer banknotes. All serve the same functional role: providing a durable, denomination-specific tactile cue that enables visually impaired users to identify banknote values independently and without visual reference.
