Exporting Data

Banknotes Module · Last updated Apr 26, 2026

Export Availability

Data export is available on Premium and Enterprise subscription plans. If your plan includes export access, you will see export buttons on applicable pages.

Standard Export

The standard export generates an Excel file containing banknote data based on your current filter settings. Click the Export button on the banknote list page to download. Each banknote is one row, with columns for:

  • Region, sub-region, country, country code
  • Issuing authority, currency, currency code
  • Denomination, first issued year, series theme, status
  • Design changes, substrate type
  • Orientation (front and back), width, height
  • Security fibres, window features
  • Themes, colours, awards
  • Comments

Full Export (with Security Features and Suppliers)

The full export is available on Enterprise plans and produces a much richer dataset, with one row per banknote × security feature. It includes every column from the standard export, plus:

  • Suppliers — Designers, Printers, Substrate Suppliers and Feature Suppliers (one column per role, comma-separated when there is more than one)
  • Substrate detail — Substrate brand name and substrate treatment
  • Security feature detail — Feature type, position, format, width, width dimension, registered, effect type, and brand

Because there is one row per security feature, banknotes with multiple features appear on multiple rows — with the banknote-level columns repeated. This makes the file easy to pivot or filter in Excel.

Substrate Export

From the By Substrate page, you can export substrate grouping data showing each substrate type and the number of banknotes using it.

Security Feature Export

From the Security Features page, you can export the security feature data showing all unique feature combinations and their attributes.

Awards Export

From the By Awards page, you can export a list of award-winning and nominated banknotes including award body, category, year, and placement.
