Navigating the Application

Top Navigation Bar

The navigation bar at the top of every page provides access to all sections of DataVault:

• Dashboard — Return to the main dashboard
• Banknotes (dropdown) — Browse All, By Substrate, By Security Feature, By Visual Profile, By Suppliers, By Awards, and Technologies
• Coins (dropdown) — Browse All, By Shape, By Metal, By Edge, and Image Review
• Geography (dropdown) — Regions, Countries, Issuing Authorities, and Currencies
• Cash — The DV Cash module (cash in circulation trends and country comparisons)
• Directory — The Supplier Directory of currency industry companies
• Pricing — Subscription plans and pricing
• More (dropdown) — About, Changelog, Documentation, and Contact

On the right side of the navigation bar:

• Admin — Access to the Django admin panel (staff users only)
• User menu — Your profile, team management, and logout options

The Banknotes and Coins menus appear only if your subscription includes those modules.

Breadcrumbs

Most pages include breadcrumb navigation near the top, showing your current location within the application hierarchy. For example:

Dashboard > Banknotes > United Kingdom > 5 Pounds

Click on any breadcrumb link to navigate back up the hierarchy.

Image Galleries

Banknote and coin detail pages include image galleries. Click on any image thumbnail to open a full-size lightbox view. Within the lightbox, you can:

• Use arrow keys or swipe to navigate between images
• Zoom in and out
• Close the lightbox by pressing Escape or clicking the X button

Pagination

List pages with many results are paginated. At the bottom of each list, you can:

• Navigate between pages using the page number links
• Change the number of results per page using the dropdown (50, 100, 250, or All)
