Country Dashboard
DV Cash (Cash in Circulation) · Last updated Jun 02, 2026Selecting a Country
The cash dashboard at /cash/ shows country pills grouped by region. Click any country
to load its data. Locked countries (shown with a dashed border) require a higher subscription tier.
Use the region and sub-region filter buttons at the top to narrow the list.
Year Range Slider
A slider above the charts lets you restrict the visible window to any sub-range of the available data. Use the preset buttons (5Y, 10Y, 20Y, All) for common windows. The CAGR figures and data tables update to reflect the selected window.
Circulation Trend Charts
The trend section shows two side-by-side charts — Volume (number of pieces) and Value (in the source’s currency). Toggle between Total, Notes only, and Coins only using the buttons above each chart. A year-on-year % change chart sits below each main chart.
A CAGR badge shows the compound annual growth rate over the visible window for the selected view. Use the copy icon () on any chart to capture it as a PNG image to your clipboard.
Circulation Data Table
Click Data table above the trend charts to reveal the numbers behind the chart in three modes:
- Raw Value — Actual figures in the source’s units (millions or billions)
- Indexed (base = 100) — Values expressed relative to the start of the visible window
- YoY % — Year-on-year percentage change, colour-coded green/red
Enterprise-tier users can download the full dataset as a multi-sheet Excel file using the Excel button in the table header. The export covers the complete available year range and includes both volume and value sheets with raw and year-on-year views.
Denomination Trend Charts
Below the circulation totals, four charts show the time series for each individual denomination — notes volume, notes value, coins volume, and coins value. Each denomination is rendered as a separate coloured line, colour-coded by value tier (low = blues, mid = greens, high = ambers). Hovering a legend entry isolates that denomination. Each denomination chart has its own copy button.
Denomination Data Table
Click Data table above the denomination trend charts to see denomination-level figures in the same three modes (Raw Value, Indexed, YoY %). Use the Notes / Coins and Value / Volume toggles to switch between the four views. Enterprise-tier users can export denomination data to Excel from this table.
Denomination Breakdown
A year selector lets you pick any available year. Two doughnut charts show the share by volume and share by value for every denomination in that year — useful for spotting which denominations dominate circulation and which are being phased out.
Economic Indicators
Below the denomination section, line charts show the macroeconomic indicators maintained for that country — typically Population, GDP, GDP per capita, CPI, and ATM count. These are sourced from the World Bank and updated alongside the cash figures.
Series Analysis Shortcut
A Series Analysis button in the country header links directly to the Series Analysis page pre-loaded with the current country, so you can move straight into cross-series correlation analysis without reselecting the country.
Discontinued Denominations
Denominations with no recorded value or volume in a given year are excluded from charts and totals. This prevents discontinued denominations from creating misleading dips in the trend lines.
