Using the Changelog

The Changelog is at /changelog/, accessible from More > Changelog
in the main navigation. It lists every announcement made about DataVault — software releases,
new features, new content additions, security feature news and broader currency news.
Categories
Each entry is tagged with one of the following categories, each with its own colour and icon:
- Software Update — Platform changes, often tied to a version number (e.g., v0.220)
- New Feature — New capabilities added to the application
- Banknote News — New banknote series, issues or changes added to the catalogue
- Coin News — New coin series or significant updates
- Security Feature — New or notable security feature additions
- Currency News — New currencies, redenominations, demonetisations
- General Announcement — Anything else worth highlighting
Filtering
The page supports filtering via URL query parameters:
?category=software(or feature, banknote, coin, security, currency, general)?year=2026— Restrict to entries published in a given year?status=active|inactive|all— Defaults to active; the others are mainly for administrators
Pinned Entries
Important announcements can be pinned to stay at the top of the changelog regardless of date. The latest unpinned entries appear immediately below them, sorted by publication date (newest first).
Dashboard Highlights
Recent changelog entries also surface on the Dashboard sidebar as the “Announcements” feed — you do not need to visit the changelog page to see what is new.
